DEV LOG 4 - Progress With Current Projects (14 June, 2026)

A little unusual for a dev log but I still want to share what I have been up to!

I have been in the middle of getting lost in my ideas but I want to share them! There are all quite similar and of course will be an addition to this website but I want to talk a little more about them. It also acts like a personal note and you know, a blog!

The Final Fantasy 8 Database

This one I have had ever since I conceptualised Kefkaberry Land! I want to create the standard guide webpages you would usually see for any game but of my own in similar fashion. It will of course include my personal takes of the game but this is mainly of a complete database of content in the game such as all the sidequests, Triple Triad Cards, GF data etc. It has taking me a long time to implement much progress to what is already available however I do have a personal roadmap to easily see this all through! I only wish to do this for Final Fantasy 8 however (for now).

My Final Fantasy Journey

We all have our own experiences and beginnings with Final Fantasy so with every entry that I have played and yet to play, I wish to log everything from my thoughts and feelings especially at particular stages to define my personal journey with the game. Think of it like a blog but more in depth. It isn’t much of a difficult project but it will definitely be time consuming on my own end.I envision this to be not just exclusively of blog styled writing but that of a journey through each game and talk about a lot of content in each to bring substance to that journey. Furthermore it will include personal takes on small things like a certain OST track that stood out to me. Perhaps even a deepdive, the world is my oyster. It will inevitably birth so much for the future, particulary the next project.

Final Fantasy 12 Bestiary

I was always in love with this bestiary with its incredible detail and art, especially with the Sage Knowledge that it provided which rewarded the keen player with worldbuilding that made Ivalice my favourite setting in fiction. I have started to make a small project that will compile and show every bestiary entry in the fashion FF12 does, whilst showing extras such as the Sage Knowledge separately for clarity. It would be nice if this was a book on it’s own as ivalice is so rich with its details.

The Undying Codex

Not much of a project but moreso a direction where I may compile what is personal on Kefkaberry Land akin to a “hub”. What that would mean is content like Blogs and Photos will be in one place whilst including some of the projects listed above. Just a potential small redesign to avoid bloat but to keep things compact and organised whilst paving the way for new things to come.

Branching Out

I personally find the resources for Classic Monster Hunter (particulary Monster Hunter 1 and Dos) to be lacking or at least represented in a way I personally do not like, so I wish to helping myself with that one. I want to do the same with harvest moon: Friends of Mineral Town for some reason, moreso just for passion.

What Else?

These projects could crumble any day but I have many others that I am not willing to speak on just yet (especially ones outside of Kefkaberry Land). I think it will be fun getting through these!
